Don Valley Bowl

On Saturday 18 August, George Ezra will headline Don Valley Bowl.

Following the recent announcement of their phenomenal Hacienda Classical show, The Leadmill has confirmed that George Ezra will be the second artist heading to Don Valley Bowl this August. Sheffield’s famous Leadmill venue promises a weekend of incredible live music at the 7500-capacity outdoor arena which will take place on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 of August 2018.

Ahead of the show, the BRIT-winning singer-songwriter is set to release his much anticipated second album, Staying At Tamara’s, in March 2018. After singing his way into the hearts of millions with his debut album, Wanted On Voyage, George Ezra promises much more experimentation and confidence this year.

After receiving worldwide praise for his ballad Budapest, George Ezra went from virtually unknown to internationally renowned in just 18 months. The Leadmill loves a success story, and is famed for being a ‘rite of passage’ for emerging talent; in 2014 George Ezra played two sell-out shows at The Leadmill and are truly thrilled to have him back to headline their biggest show yet.

Samuel Feeley, Promoter at The Leadmill said “It’s brilliant to be bringing more outdoor events to the city, it’s a step forward for us as promoters and it’s great for the people of this city. Hopefully, we’ll have more to come!”

Tickets to the 14+ event will be on sale from 2 March at 10am and can be bought on The Leadmill’s website, where you can also find tickets to Hacienda Classical.

The Leadmill presents Haçienda Classical at Don Valley Bowl

The Leadmill brings Hacienda Classical with Manchester Camerata, the city’s experimental orchestra, to Sheffield’s Don Valley Bowl on Friday 17th August.

Now coming into its third year, these nostalgic nights have recreated the tunes that defined a generation at the original Manchester club, renewed and rearranged with a classical orchestra.

The show will feature its third new set which is currently being prepared by former DJ’s Graeme Park and Mike Pickering alongside executive producer Peter Hook and musical director Tim Crooks. This version will once again see many new classic tracks added to the repertoire for the Hacienda Classical players and special guests.

Samuel Feeley, Promoter at The Leadmill said, “Hacienda Classical has been all over the country and has always gone down a storm so we’re really excited to be able to bring them to Sheffield this summer!”

The announcement of this show is met with excitement: Rebecca Walker, Senior Live Promoter & Assistant General Manager at The Leadmill said, “The Leadmill is such a loved institution to many in the Steel City and I’m immensely proud of both the brand and our hardworking staff to be able to take The Leadmill to the next step with such an ambitious show”.
